I'd say you're much better off getting a flight to Bristol (chuck four people in a taxi and it's the quickest way there)... alternaitvely Cardiff and then train and bus it.

If you have your heart set on driving then probably Fishguard/Pembroke are your best bets from Rosslare... and realistically the better part of 2 3/4 hours then till you're anywhere near the site.

    Always did the plane...

Thought about driving a few times but...

The drive down might be ok but by the time Monday morning arrives I m like a walking zombie, add to that the traffic jams (even getting out of the car park) and a targeted campaign by the Police to nab as many people as possible.. the thought of a long drive is far from appealing..

Also bear in mind that the car park could be miles from where you camp - I ve know people spend 3 or 4 hrs on a round trip to the car. Theres far better thing s to be doing.

My advice is to fly to Bristol if the fares are ok and get a taxi. We normally have a mini bus taxi organised and it picks us up at the airport, brings us to Shepton Mallet (for ticket & beer pickup) and on to site ... and is there waiting on Monday morning to bring us direct to airport. Easy and cheap (we usually get it for £20 each return). This is a deal we have with a local taximan - airport taxis would be slightly more expensive but not too much more/

i did the same. plane to bristol, taxi to shepton, then taxi to the site. taxi waiting to collect us on monday. we then stayed in a motorway service centre motel near bristol on monday night to try and get to terms with normality, then flew home on tuesday. glasto rules, but is MEGA hard work on the monday going home for an oul lad in his thirties!

Thanks for all the advice. Think i'll scrap the driving idea and book a flight over. I can barely manage the 1.5hour drive home from Electric Picnic on the monday morning on roads i know! Now all i have to do is try and get ticket... Hopefully this pre-register lark will ease the pain of gettin tickets! :)
