Well, I bought a tux (jacket and trousers) in marks and spencers last summer, was €150 altogether, assume it's still similar. As far as I recall, dress shirts there for about €20.

Try M&S, River Island, Topman, Debenhams, etc. M&S are probaly the cheapest and can have good suits, Debenhams have nice (cheapish) dress shirts. River Island can be a bit dearer but their suits are good quality, just shop around till you find something you like and are happy with the price.

Try Noel Reid in the old shopping centre. Decent suit and good price.

Try not to buy things in black tie if at all possible (generally quite expensive). As others have said, try Marks & Spencers, or River Island.

Ive have always found these guys very good and have bought two tuxes and a normal suit from them. I think they might even have a sale on at the moment.

    M&S is your best bet.

Theres a place up the top of grafton street that give you a free tux with every suit you buy,
Iirc the suits are around 400 quid so its a bit of a bargain

a bit of advice on tuxes - material quality is really important. if it's cheap, it'll rip when you're (presumabley) dancing or whatever. similarly, cheap tux shirts go see through with sweat/beer. tuxes- closer to 100% wool the better, shirts, pure cotton is the best way to go, but feel the material first. if ya can see your fingers through it easy, imagine what beer/sweat'll do to it.

Just to give ye a heads up.

btw, debenhams do a student black tie package for 53 quid, if you're a student that is!
