going on the question below on converting colour to black and white-I have been using the channel way but I find that on screen the image seems to lose some quality when i convert it. Is this right or will it print out ok? or would i be better off to using the gradient method?

Try a channel mixer adjustment layer instead. Adjustment layers are better than straight conversions as the don't remove information, only "hide" it.

Tis a goodie alright, I have it on my iPod. Still haven't got around to using it though.
