    Hi folks,
    Here's the question,
I'm due to send off my digital camera to States for fixing in repair center under the warranty.
If i fill in Irish customs declaration upon sending it off to America marking the camera with its real value should I pay VAT and duty on its return way from US repair center???

not if they fill the customs document properly, there is a checkbox for repairs, make sure they fill it in correctly

Beanhead, whom do you mean by "they"?? what I'm trying to say, I fill in IRISH customs declaration upon sending it off, then I could enclose a photocopy of such in order to be produced upon Irish customs clearance as an evidence for the camera to be my property owned in Ireland and sent to States for repair only. Otherwise, who should tick that checkbox??US repair shop people??
    cheers.
