    Hi folks,

Just to close out Charles' thread on Newstalk, I have been advised by Newstalk that they will be on the Sky Epg from March 26th...

Great news isn't it ?-- now where are you TODAY FM....

My Sky Gnome is getting more useful everyday!!:)

    Thanks for the update.

I am quite surprised that Newstalk have decided to go on Sky, considering TodayFM never bothered. Though maybe Newstalk's "qausi-national" reception nationally can be poor in places.

Anyone know if Newstalk is available on FTA boxes also ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 484 ✭✭DigiDec

Yes at the moment Newstalk is FTA.

Since last year, 100% of radio stations on Sky are FTA, so I would seriously expect Newstalk to be too.

The last non-FTA was Irish owned (ish), though. TalkSPORT was encrypted, but its now FTA.

It's in the first post, but just to reiterate (is that how you spell reiterate, it doesn't look right)

    11.264 H

The symbol rate is 27.5 and the FEC is 2/3.

Thats funny. I have not heard dublin4 radio over this side of the Eu apart from rte and channel6 of course *if you call that irish* .. nice one, this is great fun to listen too. More I hope will join the bundle.

    Newstalk is here!
    0210 on the EPG

The first time I have ever listened to this station. To be honest the first time I have been able too.

Hurrah! Ever since I showed my parents that they can listen to RTE Radio 1 on a digibox, they've been using it more for that than for tv.
