I want to put together a training program encompassing diet, cardio and a weights regime that will deliver if I stick to it. I really have no clue on how to go about this properly. Where can I find reliable info? Books, sites etc?

If you read some of the links here you'll notice that a lot of the people posting on this site are professionals and know what they're talking about. I'd take their advice. Some of them have links showing their results etc.
