Just bought The Games new album "Doctors Advocate" last Friday. Have to say, that its one of the best rap albums I've heard since "Doggystyle" dropped a few years back. One track in particular that I cannot manage to keep off repeat :) is the last track on the album called "Why you hate the game". Just Blaze produced this track and only after a few listens in now safely in sits in my all time top 10 rap songs. Its just so amazing that I had to post it here for a few of ya to listen to. Enjoy!

P.S: Turn the bass up for the chorus ;)

  • Love Game, but some of his lyrics are gone very repetitive. Couple of songs when he raps about storys are excellent such as Ol' English, Doctor's Advocate, Why you Hate The Game, And Woudln't Get Far also is really humourous and bangin' track! The others the lyrics are kinda weak. Name dropping is getting outa hand too. Still love his music tho!

im a big fan of the game and imo both of his albums are easily two of the best in recent years. i have to agree that his lyrics are getting a little repetetive. i felt in doctors advocate he mentoined "impala's and 6-4's" a few too many times. i feel the same about the name dropping thing but i feel that by his third album his lyrics will develop a bit more.

doctors advocate is a great achievement for game and i think it opened everyones eyes and made them realise that he doesnt need dre or 50 to make it. i would love to see him work with dre again but im not so sure about 50 cent. i personally hated the massacre album and i feel it was nowhere near the quality of his first. i think he is more concerned with expanding his record label with anyone that is willing to join. imo the mobb deep album was a big dissapointment and i feel that mase's album will suffer from the same poor production (also the way mobb deep focused on money, cars, lifestyle etc alot really surprised me but thats for a different thread).

'why you hate the game' is a great track, one of my favorites of the second album. great production by just blaze, he and game work very well together. scott storch and will.i.am also work well with game, especially on 'too much' and 'compton'.

I agree that the name dropping is getting a bit too much, but Doctors Advocate is easily one of the best rap albums in the last 5 years. Its just got that real West Coast sound. Personally, I'd love to see Just Blaze produce some more of his tracks. The guys got a real flair for a good beat and melody.

I can guarantee id hip-hop knowledge the majority of this forum under the table. Check my post in the nas album thread for the various reasons why nas is a fool. As for game no explanation needed there.

So who's your favorite rap artist then? I mean if you can just call Nas (one of the best rappers out there) a fool, you must be listening to some really good sh1t?

It has nothing to do with his ability to rap that i dislike Nas. He's obviously a great talent and illmatic was one of the greatest albums of all time but he's a massive hypocrite and i don't respect that.

In fairness pretty much every MC at the top has contrdicted himself and acted the hypocrite.

You shouldn't really hate Nas for personal reasons.

    no.

Illmatic era he was one of the best lyricists out there. now h's just another commercial whore who puts out substandard beats and average oul ****e like most other mainstream rappers around. if he didn't hate Curtis, he'd probably be signed to G-Unit at this stage....

Well said. His supposed beef with 50 cent is one of the most annoying things about him aswell. Swear to christ if i hear him on the radio once more talking about how 50 cent isnt on his level and not worth a response ill punch dat ish. That as it may be why does he act like it was 50 that initiated it? Nas started it by talking **** about him for about a half an hour at a concert in central park in front of a crowd of thousands! Hypo!

I never mentioned the beats he chooses because personally i think there terrible. His new album has way better production where beats have been produced for him. Adding his lyrics onto these which are definatly not garbage.

Oh and to evzer, 50 cent dissed nas first in Piggy Bank which was released early summer (June/July) and nas dissed him back in that concert in august 13th if im correct, so sorry to say your wrong. Look it up and cry :P

Also 50 cent don't talk about that puplicity loving diss the whole planet fool. I hope he goes back to his style like in Get' rich Or Die Tryin' for his new album.
He needs to concentrate on his own work and please god say he creates some decent lyrics.

By the way, wasn't this topic about GAME lol

Yeah, your right mick. The central park concert was on august 13th....2004. The massacre was released the 3rd of march 2005 and piggy bank was leaked about 2 weeks before that. Direct qoute from nas:

"I wanna thank every one of y'all for coming out and representing that real street New York sh--," while on the mic. "Not that fake sh--, not that 50 Cent."

Added to that dont forget Nas stealing 50's spot on Jenifer Lopez's tune 'Im gonna be alright' just after he was shot.

Perhaps you're the one who should be crying old chap ;)
