Pace STB "cannot find any services" after reset!

I just reset my Pace ntl: box (DI-300 n - medium sized silver unit) via the remote, because the EPG was all screwed up (as usual). When it came back, it stayed on a white screen for ages, and then came up with "Your set top box cannot find any services. Check your connections ... Blah blah blah. Error 1014".

Any ideas? Analogue is working fine, but I can't get past this error message .. tried taking the smart card out cleaning the contacts reinserting etc. but no luck.

I seem to remember there was a way (holding in a key combination on the front panel while powering on, or something like that) of getting into the engineers menu on these boxes, but search is still not working so no luck finding it.

As an absolutely last ditch resort I might try and ring ntl:, but I'm saving that until I've got a few hours to spare

    Same here.

I think I'd wait until tomorrow & try again.

It's still dead this morning :( I'll give it until this evening and then brave the customer "service" line.

Thanks for that .. mine seems to have found it's services too now! Its unusual for the analogue to be working and the digital to disappear completely like that. usually if there's a fault then everything goes, analogue TV, radio and digital.
