Future Boards.ie Tournaments - on PPP perhaps

I know in the past it was a major struggle with Tribeca to host private tournaments for affiliates etc. as it is hard to do from the backend of their system.

Now with the new system, and new software for Paddy Power Poker, surely it will be the future home of ALL Boards.ie tournaments?

So was just thinking to myself and obviously with the thoughts of others - surely Boards could arrange a monthly tournament on PPP, say a $25 or $50 freezeout for a bit of craic.

Apologies forgot all about GJP... :)

I'll have to open up an account there when they change software.

Almost everyone has a Stars account, and the other big advantage of Stars is that if someone has no $$ in their account they can get a transfer from a mate for the $10+$1 entry fee so no need for messing about with small deposits and stuff.
Inter-account transfers aren't possible on the old Tribeca.

It's also possible to set up a tournament on Stars with only 5 minutes notice and there's 0 need to get any representative of the company to do anything for it. Just a few clicks of the mouse and the tournament is set up. Very handy all together. I'm not sure what the story will be with the new software.

If it's not a network wide tournament on iPoker then it won't work as well as stars imo. Not everyone would have a specific PPP/VC/GJP/xxx account.

As long as the crap connection stuff on stars was a glitch, then Stars is def the way to go for these in the future, although having extra options is no harm.

perhaps Paddy Power who have the best customer reward system on the Internet could make it worth our while by adding a bonus to the tournament? For example instead of having to accrue 125,000 action points for a Paddy Power baseball cap perhaps the winner could get one free?
