I am taking my inlaws to tenerife in june and tried loads of places for my father in law who is 78. Perfect health but no one would give cover except the AA 01 6179950. They asked me was he a member and I replied that I was and it was me paying and taking him. So with members discount I paid 43 euro each which totaled 72 euro !! I know it doesnt add up but that what happened. That covered the pair of them.

Ring the AA on 01 6179950 and ask for travel insurance..

Let us know how you get on.

I brought the old man to Rome recently. As luck would have it, he turned 70 on the day of departure. His health was a bit dodgy last year but appears fine again. Insurance conpanies were looking for ridiculous amounts like €900 for a four day trip.
I get the whole family on unlimited trips all year for €70 (via trade union). We ended up going without any insurance for him. All went well though, thank God. :)
