    Hi guys.

    Investigation Type: Public
    Location: Ross Castle
    Date: Saturday 28th April 2007
Organiser: Paranormal Research Association of Ireland - www.praofi.org
    Price: E70 per person
    Contact: open@praofi.org

Just to confirm, there is an investigation planned for Ross Castle with the PRAI. All are welcome. Send an e-mail to open@praofi.org to add to the database. Maximum places are 25. Unfortunately, due to costs we cannot provide this event free as we usually do.

    Thanks

    Ian

So 25 places at €70 each is €1750. But see I've arranged 2 trips for Boards groups in the last year to Ross and I know the cost for the castle for the night is €550 or €50 each for a group of 12 people. The maximum the castle sleeps would be about 14 and thats counting people shairing double beds.

What is the additional cost paying for?

Is it a 2 night investigation?

Also 25 people in Ross would be SERIOUSLY crowded, have you guys done Ross before? At 12 on our last trip it was hard to avoid poluting any controlled recordings etc.

    Hi Mark

Thanks for that. No, we haven't been down there before. The lady I called told me E55 per person, so we added on for food for duration of the investigation. So we will split the cost of total between all the people. As you know, we are a not for profit organisation.

Thanks for the info on numbers, think we will limit numbers.

    Thanks again

    Ian

You guys are going to love the spot and I'm sure you'll have no problem filling the spaces. Benita really gives free reign and that makes for a great night.

One piece of advice is back up all audio onto a laptop before you go as 4 groups (ourselves here, another Irish group - SoulSearchers, a UK group and an American group) have recorded EVP, listened to it and then had it swiped after leaving the castle.

The idea of arranging the food as a group is great coz we ended up with 3 or 4 of everythign and it was a bit of a waste.

I'd recommend this to anyone whos been there before or not as its always good to see how other groups work.

whats the general layout of the night you lads have planned?

    Arrival times?
    Activities?
    What types of investigations?
    Departure times?
    Sleeping arrangments?

Price is a bit steep though.

Best of luck with this, don't know if I'll be able to make it yet, but Ross is a great location and I'd recommend it to anyone.

And organising food centrally seems like a good idea, both times I've been we've ended up with way too much junk food ;)

I'd be interested in this. I've heard so much about Ross and was kicking myself over the fact that I had to back out of the last trip down there. :(

Excellent location, and comfortable too. Have a great night guys.

Grimes: The price quoted is the most possible. When we have confirmed numbers it will probally go down to 50 or so. We will be splitting the total castle cost between everyone.
As for format, it is an open investigation. You can sample the scientific edge or any other you prefere. we plan on being there by 6 or so and leavin in the morning. There will be a designated sleeping area.

The Haunted castle is a B&B? Are guests aware of this? There must be tonnes of stories...

if you go up there read the log book, some stories have been put into it. I would guess its a part of the attraction to some and I would imagine some would have not known.
