    Hi guys

    I bought a computer a few months ago and now want to get more ram.
    Is it hard to install?

    What type of ram do I need?

    512 MB 400MHz DDR PC-3200 RAM EMPAQ is what came with my computer originally so if i search for that on EBay and buy what comes up will it work?

    So.939 Athlon64 X2 3800+ Box dual core
    CPU : Athlon 64 X2 3800 / Kern-Version : E4 /
    Taktfrequenz : 2000 MHz / Cache L2 : 1024 KB / Front
    Side Bus : 1000 MHz / Voltage : 1.35-1.40 V / Package :
    OPGA / Sockel : Socket 939 / Technologie : 64 Bit /
    Verpackung : Box / Kühler : Ja

    thats the processor incase its relevant

    Crucial.com/eu have a memory scanner on their website that will tell you what RAM you need.

    yeah i see that but i just bought the parts off ebay and got a mate to put it together so i dont know what "manufacturer" to select in the first option?

    No need to select a manufacturer. Just use the system scanner.
