I like the look of the first 1 Its small so it probly a bit lighter so thats the one id get The sidearms i would narrow it down to the 1 that looks the best(even if it just makes noise:rolleyes: )

The first one looks like the CYMA CM023.
If you're looking to compete with it its not worth it, but its great if you just want to plink around with it in your back garden.
I have one here that I'm not using I can give to you for cheap if you're interested.

both pistols are over the legal limit: "370 FPS w/ .20 g BBs"
limit is 328fps with 0.20g bbs (1 joule)

the primary weapons on the other hand, are the other end of the scale 200fps with 0.12g bb's. if you want them for target practice in your back garden etc... then they wont be too bad, but if you want to skirmish with it, then id say combine your funds and go for a better main weapon now and save up again for a pistol.

I had my cyma mp5 at hrta yesterday, wasnt able to chrono it properly due to single shot being a bit broken, but it fires around 220-250fps i think with .20g bb's, even at that i still want something a bit more powerful

`so much for the pistols then I'll keep looking for a main weapon then

you might find something decent for reasonably cheap on rsov.com: http://www.rsov.com/store/index.php?cPath=105_118&osCsid=1cd0eeef9a0dee3ceccc44d63b7dbd8e

    Don't buy from speedytoys.
They use UPS and you'll have to pay extra charges. Plus your gun will be orange tipped.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity

i guess this isn't legal then http://www.speedytoys.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=1478 lol 460 fps that would blow your head off:D

ps. are shotguns good in close range skirmishes?

460 fps would not take your head off. It would likely sting a lot though. Its about 1.3joules with a 20mm bb which is still well below what you need to penetrate the human body let alone tear a mans head from his neck.

And shottys are pretty nifty ... ask Scope.

twas a joke but never mind cause there are a few nifty (heh funny word) shotguns on speedy toys

    hehe. Someone's using a tennis-ball throwing machine yoke :)

I'm a firm believer in Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, etc.
I know a few people here have the so called "clones" and seem to be happy with them. My experience however has been less than great.

As a very wise airsofter once said: Better to cry once and never again. By the good stuff ;)

www.wgcshop.com - bought all my guns from them. They are reliable.
    Or ehobbyasia I suppose.

    He means .2g!

Shotguns are surprisingly accurate and very powerfull. Slow ROF but with 3 shots simultaneously, you should only need one shot. Shells have ten shots with 3 bbs a time. Shells are reusable.

Might be a bit tiring constantly pumping them....

well the problem is being a wee boy my parents have to pay for it because it would take months for me to raise the money to get say a TM, so i need something cheap but good but seems a bit hard to find a good retailer that doesn't charge you 100 plus euro

BUT my dad and i might come down to HRTA this Saturday or Sunday and if he likes it:rolleyes: might be able to get a bit more money out of him ** gives evil look**

did you have a look at the clone mp5's paul has in hrta? havent used them myself, but they look like they could be good for what your looking for, he had two for sale last saturday, one was 110 and the other 120 i think

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,414 ✭✭✭kdouglas

right... well maybe time to do some extra chores around the house? tell your dad you'll wash his car for €10 or something?

Edit: or just ask _really_ nicely and theyll buy it for you anyway?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity

yeah they said they would look at it and decide but i will ask really nicely

    i think i found a pretty good gun http://cgi.ebay.com/Marui-M4-XM177-E2-Airsoft-HG-HOPUP-270FPS-Spring-Rifle_W0QQitemZ270071406476QQihZ017QQcategoryZ62122QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

ah yes, the good old "we'll see"... tbh they're probably still considering the safety aspects etc... etc.. i remember when i bought my first springer on holiday in spain or some such, took me _ages_ to convince my parents that they were actually (relatively) harmless

well my mom saw it first hand and i'm off to go collect my dad from the airport so hope fully i'll order it today

Well whatever you get, for gods sake be responsible with it. The biggest danger facing airsoft at the moment is people's concerns about kids owning and using these airsoft guns. The vast majorifty of people think that you are not old enough to use the equipment responsibly......so prove them wrong!

Personally, I judge people by their actions, and not their age.

i could be like a young correspondent or some thing with a big word in front of it and yes my dad will be supervising as he likes it :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

that gun you seen on ebay is only a springer, its not the same as the AEG's we have or that nonex has at HRTA.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity

huh:confused: it was in the aeg section

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

Look for the "spring cocking" part.

A amuri AEG i not going to be that cheap.
The MP5K is the cheapest Mauri i've seen and its $150 on ehobby asia.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

it also mentions the cocking levers and DOESNT mention batteries.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity

    yeah i see

he's got a fair point, he doesnt want to be spending his money if your gonna lose interest after one or two skirmish's...

on the upside, after a couple of visits and you decide you really do like it, you can point out to him how much you'll save by investing in a good gun instead of renting all the time.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity

    exactly my plan;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

you may also be able to get him to buy the gun you want as apposed to the gun that will do if you show your into the sport.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 589 ✭✭✭Irish Trinity
