    Full Tilt Poker
$0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Ring Game
    6 Players

    CO: $34.60
    Hero (BTN): $24.30
    SB: $24.9
    BB: $24.5
    UTG: $26.30
    MP: $73.80

Preflop: Jc Js ($0.35, 6 players)
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.75, CO folds, Hero raises to $2.60, SB folds, BB folds, MP calls $1.85

    Flop: 2d 8d Ad ($5.55, 2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $4, MP calls $4

    Turn: 2d 8d Ad [9d] ($13.55, 2 players)
    MP checks, Hero checks

    River: 2d 8d Ad 9d [3d] ($13.55, 2 players)
    MP bets $6.75, Hero folds
Uncalled bet of $6.75 returned to MP

Just general thinking on how I played the hand as a whole, I have decided to switch over to cash games and am starting from near scratch, going by P_L's guidelines.

Do I call the river hopinig for a split pot or is that just stupid?

PS: I'll probably be posting a lot of seemingly stupid/ridiculous HH that are simple Call/Push/Fold's, but please bare with me.

I'd probably check the flop alot, no point in calling 6 on the river to hope to split the 13...

I dont mind the bet on the flop giving the flush on board if the villain is not a calling station, id normally check the flop with the overcard but i can see the villain dropping alot of hands here from Pocket Pairs to Ace medium kicker if he dosent have a diamond otherwise he has to play the turn again OOP not knowing whether hes behind or not. I think youll take the pot enough times to make it worthwhile. Or is my thinking flawed??

if he has a worse hand you'll get the hand checked to showdown alot, so I don;t think there's any point in betting it, better hands almost never fold.
