Taken on a 200mm lens that is quite possibly older than I am Also balanced on an atrocious tripod. Major cropping was clearly involved, as was very high ISO.

Fairly clear considering a 1 second exposure from my roof though...

Edit: fixed the white balance a bit in Nikon Capture, I think it looks better.

My attempt, 150mm, f4.5, 2 sec, ISO 400 (and a tripod of course) ... went for the longer exposure to capture the colour, of course that means detail on the moon is a bit soft, but can't have it both ways

Wow- amazing shots! I watched from my bed cursing no long lens. It was cool though wasn't it? Looked just like a big rock hanging there. Which is what it is I know :rolleyes:
