Agree with nicnicnic. Only play the tourneys myself, but they're well run and good value. All the staff are dead on, and most of the dealers are top notch (they seem to burn through them pretty quick, so you quite often come up against total novice dealers, but that's just the way it is).

    Good set up.

    Good selection of tournies.

    Average dealers. Could be better.

    Great location in town.

I am afraid i am going to have to be the voice of dissent here

    Premises are top notch

But club is not well run
There is a lot of confusion around which rules the club will run with week to week and decisions seem to be made based on how well you know the card room manager
Tournaments never start on time and the turn up in general for them is poor
In general i find the card room managers approach unprofessional

Cash game selection is poor although has got better in the last 12 months but in general you will find 1 game and the buy in for a grand merchants and buy in for 100 sitting at the same table
As a rule the games are weak and beatable but be prepared to Gamble

There are a couple of good dealers but there always seem to be a lot of novices

    Clientelle
There is no dress code so you will find yourself sitting with a few Celtic jerseys and tracksuits as a rule most punters are friendly but I have seen more rudeness and potential for viloence in the Macau than any other club in Ireland and had 1 or 2 very unpleasant experiences myself in the club

I have only been once. once was enough.

The doorman/cashier/manager was rude and obnoxious beyond belief. I sat down at a table, everyone at table was nice and welcoming...Then "doorman" came over and said something about "no antics" to me in front of everyone!!!!

I Left after 5 minutes and he took 20 mins to cash my chips...

    Nice guy.

If you are a resident in Cork well its the only game in town...
If you are visiting Cork there are much better things to do.

My advise -Steer cliear of what was a horrible experience....I

You cant blame the dealers in there. Staff turnover is ridiculous and usually they are understaffed. It would be a great place if only for a few people.

Waitresses are worth the trip alone.

You have a reasonable response to your request for review of the club. I'm going to draw this thread to a close here.
