Hey guys check out the new Atienza Kali publici page

    http://www.atienzakali.com/

There's a short clip of an instructor training group session, after all the guys got their new rigs, check it out.

Start saving guys, the rigs will be mandatory for all AK practitioners, hopefully myself and Dave will have ours for the next group meet when we'll be linking up with Tuhon Carl on the web cam.

The rigs will allow you to carry multiple blades, both swords and knives, so if you're disarmed you don't have to stop training you just draw another blade. The rig also allows you to design your own carry positions whether it be behind the back, on the hip or under the arm, whichever you prefer but you'll become proficient with them all.

    Aran,

You mention hooking up with Tuhon Carl by webcam....

Do you carry out remote training instruction over the 'Net ? Can you describe how that works out for you guys as I'm sure it would be of interest to many..... a sort of middle ground between face to face instruction and DVDs.

    Hi Martin,

The web cam training is something we're just starting with Tuhon Carl, I sat in on an instructor training session a couple of weeks ago and found it great, it's going to allow myself and Dave to train With Tuhon Carl on a regular basis. Obviously there are some parts of the training that will still have to be done in person i.e. fight analysis, the firearms curriculum or projectiles but most of the evolution training, including the new material like the targeting chains can be taught very effectively using the web cam, things like showing techniques works very well. A few of the training groups in the states are using them as well and are finding the results great.

I will be hooking up the web cam for the next Atienza Kali Ireland training group meet so Tuhon can watch and instruct the guys, along with myself and Dave and from then on he'll be sitting in on most training group meets. So for you guys in the group, I'm afraid your going to have to travel to Galway.
