Return NDS to Nintendo?

My NDS (which I got in June '06 in GAME) is suffering intermittent top screen failures. I want to get it fixed or replaced, should I return it to GAME or Nintendo, and where do I have to return it to, I can't find any info on who to call or anything..

I'm confused, and a bit indecisive.

Just for clarity I rang the service line and they told me to just mail it to them with a cover letter, but that sounds a bit half arsed to me.

if you still have the reciept i would just bring it back to game.

i returned an Xbox a couple of years ago and i just gave them the xbox with no connections or controllers and they went and got a new xbox out of the box and gave me that one. they took my details and that was that.

Bring it back to GAME.. with proof of purchase it's got a warranty for a year, easy peasy.

Say if I didnt have the receipt, does anyone know who to send a DS lite with a dead pixel to?
The site was ambiguous and I didnt get a response from the emails I sent.
I presume its still under warranty as Ive only had it since Christmas

Just bring it back to the place or purchase, you don't need a receipt unless you want cash back as far as i know...

You need a receipt to swap it in a shop. Call Nintendo if you don't have it.

One dead pixel does not entitle you to a replacement. The screen has to be unviewable before you are entitled to an exchange. Its the same on all LCD screens.

As for the DS, you have a 2 year guarantee when it's bought in GAME. One year with the store and the 2nd with Nintendo. So bring it back to game and you'll be given a replacement one right away.

I got mine replaced in Game when I had one dead pixel no problem. Nintendo have a replacement policy with any dead pixels.

Well I got it in Argos for starters. Would they exchange it on the spot without a receipt?

In case they dont, has anyone dealth with Nintendo directly with faulty products?

btw the dead pixel is bright blue and dead centre on the upper screen. Quite annoying when you look at it for any extended period

Really? I just thought it would be the same deal as the PSP.

If you bring it back, they'll just tell you to send it to Nintendo yourself, thats the policy on faulty DSs

They MIGHT send it back for you, and you'll hafta go there to get the address for Nintendo Anyway, so, good luck

I brought it back and was treated like a king!

Brand spanking new DS lite, luckly a white one instead of pink!
