Does the Wii play GC games?

Like the title, does the Wii play gamecube games?
If so, can the new controller be used or do you have to use gamecube controllers?

Yes, it can.

Could be wrong but think you need to use a GameCube controller.

Yep. It plays gamecube games no problem.

You do need to use gamecube controllers and memory cards though.

There are 4 controller ports and 2 memory card slots on the side of the Wii.

Just be careful to not pull on the Wii console while using the Gamecube controller after getting used to the Wii controllers. I've done it once, was not a good day.

Its not a Play Station 3 it does play previous console games and then some.

The wii does play GC games but if you bought a HD tv, you gonna see some games look terrible like Resi 4.
