I paid 1,250 forthe course at NCAD but it was not particularly good ... they are clueless on digital and the tutor was not so good ...

The studio classes were good ...

Try your local school. They will run night classes and I attended one in my local school that was great. Just make sure the course contense is what you are looking for and ask who the instrcutor is. You should also google them. Will give you an idea of who they are (so you know that your not being taught by someone who is not that experianced)

    thanks guys...
i'm really looking for primarily analogue SLR as my friend has an analogue slr camera and is looking for advanced courses.

any courses on the web/local schools all seem to be pretty basic and normally digital focused...

Check out the 'A7 photography' course. 20 weeks, Fetac level 5. Seems pretty decent for the money.

Actually if you are interested in analogue then the course at CEAD in NCAD may suit ... see http://www.ncad.ie/faculties/education/cead_pdi.shtml

You could also try the one at the Dublin Camera Club, doing this myself and eventhough most have digital cameras it touches on Film based cameras as well.
