3's slowed down network

Has anyone noticed that 3's network (not the HSDPA network) has slowed down since it went down about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It's become a 144kbit network, not the 384kbit network it used to be?

A quick test is to download any video content. You will see that it downloads at about 15kb/sec, not the over 30kb/sec it used to be. Even with a data card in a 3G coverage area the max download it says is 140kbit. Very strange.

they said they have just about completed updating all their 3G stations to HSPDA compatible, maybe its just affecting it at the moment were you are with your data card

as for downloading video content on your mobile I tried it yesterday and it seemed to go at the usual speed although I can't be sure of course

    Hi,

It does seem like they have updated most of their sites to HSDPA (i can't use it now because my new computer doesn't have a PC Card slot. lol). But even with my normal mobile, I only can download content from Planet3 at 15kb/sec or so. If I click on Play, not save, the video starts then stops to buffer. It's only a small thing but I wonder why it's happened. It could have something to do with the update. I'll have my new data card sometime this week and I'll see if HSDPA is working fine.
