For about one and a half years, I've lived with bipolar disorder. The mania isn't so bad but the depression is crippling. I'm finding it increasingly harder to control myself and it feels like I'm getting worse. It appears to be psychologically based rather than biochemical and depressive episodes are triggered immediately by exposure to certain environments that (unfortunately) I encounter regularly every week, and can also be triggered by just thinking about them. But my main problem is that I can't talk about it to anyone. I've never even tried to obtain medical help. I can analyse this thing forevermore but I can't make it go away. Newspapers and the media are always saying that no-one should suffer from depression in silence and if anyone ever had a problem like this I know I would advise them to seek medical treatment, but I appear tohave different standards for myself. I'm male btw if that helps.

I really don't know what help you are looking for but by the sounds of it you should really get some professional help, PI is not the place for this. I recommend you read our sticky links and call the Samaritans, they are a great first step.
