    Hero: €500
    Villain: Covers

Its the usual 7 players to a flop type of game. Villain would view me as tight and not prone to make many moves. Villain loves to see flops but hasnt really gotten out of line, when he has bet he always has had a hand.

We are 7 handed and utg makes it 4 on the blind and gets one caller. I make it 20 from the button with AKo and get 2 callers including the villain in the SB.

Flop: A55 with 2 diamonds(i have no diamond if that makes any difference)

SB bets out €65, UTG folds and i call. (comments???)

    Turn: 3s

SB checks, i bet €100 into a pot of about €200. (comments???)
    SB reraises to €300. Hero??

expect 2-4 a lot here! i think lloyds advice is pretty good too. although i dont like it we have to fold here. in saying that i doubt i would.

Anyway i folded and am still not sure if it was the right move in general. I know it wasnt this time because he said he had AJ later which left me a bit confused. If i was drunk i would have stacked him....oh well next time:D

If I had 56 I'd tell you I had AJ.

Yeah i probably would too but i didnt think he was lying about it. After playing longer with him he was only interested in his two cards and probably considered AJ the nuts.

I think my hand is fairly transparent here (for anyone paying attention) which probably swayed my decision to fold. What i came to realise later was that the villain was unlikely to have picked up on how nitty and straightforward i had been playing, and was only interested in his hand.

The only thing that would sway my decision is the fact that you checked the flop. This is either AA or else a smaller pair TT-KK that's afraid of the ace. because of this, somebody with AJ might suddenly think their hand is good.

BTW: I think I'd have gone broke here with AK if I was in the hand

I didnt check the flop. I was OTB and SB bet out the €65. Even given the fact that he may have thought his AJ was good, a checkraise effectively allin on the turn makes no sense. What i didnt realise at the time was that villain probably had no sense:)

Oh yeah. Missed the lead out. If he's good then I like a fold as it's a good line with a 5 against someone who likely has an ace. If he's bad I instapush.

Oh and check behind the turn so that you don't get into this spot!

I like how you played the flop.

When he checks turn, considering stacks, I check behind unless I am happy to get it all in(and u weren't)..SO I really donn't like your turn bet.

.. check behind on turn and call river...Or bet if checked to...

Yeah i like your line alright. At the time i didn't think he would lead out and then check the turn with a 5 so i put him on a weaker ace when he checked, and felt he wouldn't drop it to my turn bet.

If he had just called i probably bet about €200 on most rivers because i don't think he gets away from an ace here even though my hand would be fairly obvious.(like ive said i thought he was only interested in his two cards and, though he may have been suspicious i feel he would make a crying call a lot on the river with weak aces here). That was my plan for the hand on the turn but obviously didnt pan out.

Given the fact that i don't believe he drops an ace to my plan of action here im not sure if i would be giving up some value by taking your line or not though.

As already said, dont bet the turn unless you are happy to fold to all in or know you are calling

having bet, I would not fold now

in general I think I check this turn

    Flop call is good
