    There was a piece in the Herald yesterday about this tv series that's on RTE at the moment. Apparently one of the programmes is on Dublin's traffic congestion and it looks at the Dublin Rapid Rail Development plan that was drawn up in 1975 and a plan for an interconnector in 1914.

    I'm not sure when the programme is actually on though.....

    Not surprising.

    The roads plans from 1979 are still being implemented today... (even if there are ones from just a decade and a half ago too).

    They're taking long enough about Dublin's Eastern Bypass though, after 28 years they've only got half of it open...

    :D

    And yes, this post isn't entirely fair or reasonable - but hey, we were promised the motorways to Dublin by last year, so I think it's fair enough.
