    hey all,

i am currently thinking about renting my apartment out. i bought it 2 years ago so am aware i have to pay the revenue stamp duty claw back as i am with in the 5 year time frame for first time buyers.

my question is, do i have to pay the clawback amount(3% of original purchase price) to the revenue in one lump sum or can i pay them off monthly or something? really wouldn't have several grand lying around to give them!!

annoys me so much having to pay money just to rent out my own home!

ring the revenue and ask what the procedure is. It might be when you have to do a self assessment at the end of the year.
