The East Link was built in 1984, does anyone know was their contract for 25 years in which case the bridge should revert to the government in 2009 or has the contract been extended on the quite?

Im not aware of any contract details for this but 120 million vehicles crossing it over the last 23 years - another nice earner for NTR!

I tried to track down some information (bye-laws, etc.) on this last year. The East-Link is run by NTR on behalf of Dublin City County Council and not the NRA. This was before the internet so google, etc. didn't provide any useful links. I dropped into civic offices and asked in the Planning and Development departments without any luck, I was directed to Iris Oifigiúil but the notices are from the early 80's and not available on the internet. These documents aren't available from the normal public libraries (Ilac Centre), Dublin City Library and Archive on Pearse Street should have a copy but you need to make an appointment or something like that.

I should have pushed for a contact in the Transport or Legal departments, but I lost interest.

No, I think 30 years, reverting in 2014. I understand it will revert to both the City Council and Dublin Port.

Didn't it get extended to 2020 with the second bridge and now it's looking like 2035 or something stupid.
