my diet/ Fitday.com

    Yo,
    Was on fitday.com trying to work on my diet. I'm 6ft 2, 190lbs, unknown bf%( but closer to 10 than 20), my aim for the next 8weeks is tone up, put on a bit more muscle. Workout is fine (3 times a week, 2 days soccer training, 1 match)


    Anyway, my diet was
    Breakfast:3 weetabix with lowfat milk
    2 slices of wholewheat brown bread toasted
    Protein shake

    10.00am Porridge
    Yoghurt

    12.30 Meat/Veg lunch

    3.00 Nuts/Fuit

    5.30 Toast

    6.00 head to the gym

    8.00 Dinner was either meat/veg or pasta and chicken

    11.00 Protein shake then bed.
    Some more fruit, jaffa cakes !

    I realised that I have to cut the carbs down to bring down my body fat. Anyway, I've come up with this from Fitday.com

    Brussels sprouts, raw 82 1 17 6


    Before bed: Cheese, cottage 491 7 18 84
    2 Protein Shakes 240 2 6 48

    At different stages of the day; 4 boiled Eggs 309 21 2 25

    Totals 2636(calories) 71(gms of fat) 114(gms of carbs) 374(protein)

    Any general comments on this diet? I could do with cutting the carbs more and the weetabix and porridge seem logical choices but I absolutely love them. Also, how accurate do you think Fitday's breakdown of each food is?

    I'm not really sure wether you need so much protein, that has the potential to harm, nearly 400gs a day is a hell of a lot. Your body won't even use that much. I hope you are drinking about 3 litres of water a day as well.
