    Hi Looking for advice really.

Bought a new house and need to buy, integrated fridge freezer, integrated dish washer, integrated electrical hob and integrated electrical oven.

Anyway, would it be better to just go to power city or DID and try to get a good price?

    Which one is best?

Would I be better doing something else? Just want to get the best price. I want to buy decent enough standard.

    Cheers

A mate told me if you shop around and get prices off a few companies then bring the pricelists to Harvey Norman they'll usually better the offers .. worth a try anyways

saw a couple of posts on boards before about making savings on eBay. Think the shop was secondtek. Mainly smeg, Neff and other high cost stuff. Initial shipping charge seems high but additional items are lower and if I remember right they can hold items until you have a full pallet and deliver everything together.

I'm looking for similar items though not integrated so keep us posted on how you get on......

Harvey Norman is way over priced. DID reasonable but sales service in stores is dreadful.

Their adverts are brash, stores dirty and the red jumpers are awful, but Power City will nearly always be best on price and will do extra discount for buying a range of product. - And as the guys work on commission they'll do anything to help you.

I second power city! Cant be beaten without going the online route and even then...
I stocked my whole house with electrical stuff when i got it with power city. Like it was mentioned... The sales rep can and will give a discount. If you spend over €600 you will definatly get one especially if you ask what kind of disccount he will give you :D

Is there not some place in Glasnevin/Santry which sells refurbished/stock clearance appliances. And you still get your 12 months guarantee!

I got my appliances from a place near parkwest (off nangor road) . I'll get the number for you. basically he repairs damaged deliveries not accepted by shops and sells them on for half the retail (or less). Integrated dishwasher and oven only had slight dents on the sides, enough for a shop to not want to sell them, but easily fixed and unseen because they are integrated :) . the fridge freezer I got in powercity at full price is giving me trouble now though :( . oh, and you get teh 12 month warranty on the repaired items too.
