Now that we have our second Moderator set up, its about time this place was sorted out. It's a paintball forum as well as an airsoft one, so I've tried to cut down on the airsoft stickied threads. They were in an absolute mess anyway.

I've merged a few. We had two stickied retail threads for some reason. Both were pretty big. I hope they went together okay.

A couple of have been unstuck as the information could be found in the thread Sparks wrote up explaining the legalities.

The forum charter is provisional so that needs to be cleaned up as well.

... I saw this and thought you meant cleaning up at HRTA.

But yeah, the forum could do with a spring clean. I dont envy you the job though.

Yes, you're all being called back to clean up the mess you left. All those dents have to be sanded out of the woodwork. Not to mention every bb hand picked up off the floor.

    Get cracking!

You mean you didn't tick the box half way through that said NO to being used as the hostage instead of the lump of plywood? Excellent stuff! Should make this Saturday interesting :D

wait...I shouldn't have said that until I asked if you were coming along or not.
    Darn.

...all terrorists have giant people sprayed on the front of their shields! :D

It was funny though. I was holding it for a while. It seemed to attract gunfire more then anything else.

a good trades person never blames his tools
the trouble the other day was half pull on the trigger on the next shot
all aeg's do this, all you have do is turn selector to auto and fire one small bust and turn selector back to semi,it's in the instruction manual,
    i even done it myself
the batterys where left in my car friday night and the cold discharged them,
    that was my fault sorry.
any way, i got 3 of oisin's team and i did not fire a shot, i had no amo anyway, you could say i h.r.t.a' ed them and it worked, and if i had amo,
i might have got oisin ?, i must bring more mags the next time.

I had very few problems with the rental AK. I jammed it once, but sorted it by cycling the safety as above. The buttplate fell out once also, but I was not camping out at the entrance much, and was slamming into walls left and right, so it's quite understandable. I also made a silly error a few times in the heat of battle and ejected my mag in the middle of a charge, spoke to Nonex about why this was happening and he showed me what I was doing wrong, totally my fault. Battery only started going flat in the last couple of minutes of the last game. I was quite happy with it all in all, a bit bigger than the MP5s but surprisingly wieldy.

I have a n MP5K by Galaxy and it is a fine gun. It also jams on single fire but will clear it self when clickerd into auto.

You are complaining about a RENTAL gun. If you arent impressed with the way it works then make the investment and buy your own, customize it and use it instead. If you play often enough it'll actually work out cheaper.

I have only 2 complaints about the MP5's, one is the cocking bolt (purely for cosmetic purposes) isnt strong enough, not that it matters. The second is a loathing for the HK iron sights in general. They are a bloody awful design meant for squinty pervs and genetically engineered frogmen.

Neither of these things detracts from the fact that nonex chose the right tool for the job. MP5's are designed for CQB work and the guns operated fine when I used them (provided you paid attention to what you were doing).

If I had an airsoft site and was going to be renting guns to all manner of people, including kids, I certainly wouldn't be giving them TMs or CAs.

Sure one was dropped and broken on the first day!
