I'm calling hand 1 instantly anyway.

Hand 2 I probably just call too. AK suited and the button. I dont want to scare Vera away here. Sids got fcuk all anyway so he's just going all-in to any re-raise from you. You want to bring vera along to see a flop with those cards and the button. She's got a bit of a stack

You could make it 5 or 6 maybe to push out the blinds but sid will probably push and vera will fold fearing another raise behind from you.
Think its one of those where a flat call pre-flop may be worth the risk

edit : actually would the min-raise thing rule come in there meaning vera could call and not have to fear being raised again? Bah I'm flat calling anyway

Hand 1 call this is another of these ss idiots who haunt me expect to be dominating his A a large % of times

    Hand 2 raise to 13
AK plays very well heads up seing all 5 cards does not fair so well 3 handed and only getting a flop
Plus if fish Vera wants to play make her pay oop

    Hand 1 i call

Hand 2 i think you should flat call aswell as it will hide the fact you have such a strong holding. this will alow you to get paid off if vera has AQ-,KQ-, should an Ace or King pop.

    Thanks,

I called the 1st hand and was up against JJ and hit my Ace on flop.

2nd Hand i called $3 and raised $8 more everyone folded except sid who called with 33 and i hit full house.

Was thinking afterwards about this hand when i raised what i did $8.
With the exception of Vera most of the people involved in this hand were average-good fairly tight players so i expected a re-raise only from AA,KK,QQ here.

Im expecting a call from sid anyway regardless of his holding.

    Well come back to vera

Them 2 players to act in the blinds have around $40 each and if they have any other pocket pair other than AA,KK,QQ there not getting odds to call off 1/4 their stack to hit a set (assumming their putting one of us on on a higher pocket pair which is likely giving ive been playing very tight and have re-raised)

About vera then i want to figure out what odds i should be giving vera to call here. Say i think vera might have a pocket pair, im not worried if she has Ax as ive her dominated so i only see her calling my re-raise here with JJ-22 in hope of hitting her set. Shes getting 8/1 to hit her set and if the blinds fold and i expect sid to call then there is approx 25 in the pot and its another 8 for vera to call so around 3/1 to call. With AK what kind of odds should i be offering vera here if i think shes pocket pairs, is 3/1 too generous or whats decent odds to offer them.

Or should i be looking at the odds like this. Shes investing $8 of her stack to try and win $90 of mine so shes getting around 11/1, so i would need to raise around $13 instead giving odds of around 7/1 and so he would be making a -ev call. I know his pocket pair wouldnt neccessarily need to hit to win so the odds arent exact but what im saying is should i think odds as compared to stack sizes / how much to call, is this the correct way.

    Call 1 and raise 2.

I don't think you want to be encouraging callers with AK thinning the field is your best chance while it is a drawing hand you win most often with AK when you hit TPTK which you dont want to play in a multiway pot

trying to keep Vera in is a mistake imo
