It's portraying an image as opposed to any actual useful information. For example, while it's not Flex it often does articles on pro bodybuilders and there programs and diets etc. Now then, what could is that to the normal, non steroid doing trainee? None, and yet the talk that rubbish verbatim about " train like Jay to look like Jay" and so forth.

I see it more as another Weider pipe dream to be honest ( granted it was purcashed by AMI but they are worse. )

It just lacks decent information and real world appliction of it. It's more like a fitness mag for people who by GQ.

I would thumb through it in easons and save the cash. All the info is available online for free.

However it's not a bad thing to buy it and actually read it cover to cover. It might be of use to you which is all that matters.

Just don't take everything that's written verbatim much like here!

They do decent full-body workouts near the back from time to time, so if you see one it might be worth picking up ... once ... EVER!

So I bought this yesterday as a result of this thread. Thumbed through it in about 4 mins and will probably read it tonight in 8! It's more GQ/Esquire now without the 'good' articles.

Have to be honest that it's been about 3-4 years since I picked it up and in that time it's gown downhill a bit, not that it was that good 3-4 years ago!

I'd nearly say now that your best bet is a rugby or similar sport magazine as they will usually have fitness/training advice that will be practical and useable.

I get the US issue delivered to Ireland.
Its $26 for 10 issues, just over 2 euro an issue which isnt bad at all.
Every second page is ads but its worth a flick.
