Do some people find really skinny girls attractive?

I know the size zero debate is so bloody boring at this stage, but I've been wondering something lately. After reading yet another "men like something to grab onto" remark (as if all it's about is girls getting men to like them, but that's another story), I was wondering: are there people (male or female) out there who actually do find the likes of Posh, Keira etc sexy and attractive? And would they be lambasted for saying so? I'm not talking seriously underweight here. The two girls mentioned generally don't look like they've hit the seriously underweight category - yes I know, they're not far from it, but they haven't entered Nicole Ritchie territory. So I'm not talking slim, I'm talking really skinny.

if they are naturally that skinny yes it can be quite sexy, but if not no they generally look like skeltor and to be truthful with you I don't find camp 80's cartoon characters that attractive.
That said I would also go for bigger girls aswell. Generally I take it on a case by case basis.

However the above is all conjecture because I haven't been single in over 9 years so God only know what I would really go for if I was single again

Yeah I'd hit either of those two. A lot of people (mainly overweight girls in my experience) think Mischa Barton's too skinny, but I think she's hot. In truth, she has fairly skinny arms but I don't expect girls to be doing curls all day.

i myself have a bit of a thing ( its actually quite serious) for tasha in home and away, she isnt the most spacially challenged of people but ....

i suppose i did have a thing for keira knightly as well at one stage so.. i suppose i would..

but nicole richie and similar girls.. poo!

I just wrote a post saying I think that they're attractive and I'd be happy to look like them, but I'm rewriting it.

I think that they are attractive, but too thin. If they were a size bigger, I think they'd look better. Kiera Knightly now has no breasts whatsoever. However, I do still feel envious when I see pictures of them. I think Kiera looks gorgeous here:

I don't like skinny girls at all. I prefer women with curves. Not hugely overweight but maybe slightly. Especially like women who are toned but still have new features to look at.

Not a fan of the mega-thin ones at all. If they're that concerned in their own weight, it shows a bit of self-obsession on their part.

A girl without an ass is wrong. It's one of a womans best features, and size zeros don't have it. I'm not really into chunky girls, but being too skinny is worse. You look ill, fragile and wrong if you've got huge elbows, clearly defined ribs and the sort of legs you see hanging out of a nest.
Nothing wrong with a slim waiste and a nice, flat belly and well defined arms and legs, but bony-ness is a big turnoff. Take away these models makeup and careful lighting and I think alot of guys would be shocked at how unhealthy and unattractive they look.

Answer to OP: No. I don't.

I prefer a girl who is herself and atleast has some sort of tummy and thighs.

I can't look at a girl who could literally slip through the garden railings.
It's horrible.

I do not find Posh Spice or similar Ultra skinny women attractive in the slightest. They are only rank to look at. Why they consider themselves good looking is beyond me. Does the fashion industry hold these people up as Style Icons or give an "All women should look like this" message?

Generally though as much as I prefer the above I wouldn't have any problem with a skinny girl either, unless it was one of those people who deliberately starve themselves to attain such a figure. I used to go out with a girl who was a size six, she was definately a bit too thin but at the same time she could get away with wearing great things that just wouldn't look the same on anyone else...

I don't see a problem with thin women, I don't think weight is really the issue. I think kiera is really hot, but somebody like posh or paris hilton doesn't do much for me. I think it's not to do with weight it's more to do with having a pretty face and projecting a nice personality. Like I don't think a heavier actress should be singled out, also I don't think thinner girls should be criticized either

I think the likes of Armani, Gucci and other such luminaries must be having a field day. You need less material to cover a thin person than a fat person, therefore clothes are less expensive to make. Still cost an arm and a leg though regardless of the amount of material used. There's always a bottom line, even in the seemingly airy fairy fashion industry.
Designers traditionally use tall, skinny models because basically they act as a coat hanger...they display the garment, but do not take attention away from the garment. Now, however, it seems the catwalk has been moved to the street. How many times do we see Posh out doing her 'shopping' looking impeccable in a designer piece? Even Kate Moss (even though she's already a catwalk model)? Or any celebrity for that matter? Most of these 'street models' (as I call them!) are rail thin. But they're just normal folk doing their normal chores, so it's normal to be that size isn't it? I can imagine that's how a female teenager might see it

Yes, but in the context of the anti-thin backlash, which is creating a culture of "anyone who says thin is attractive is the devil incarnate".

Do I find skinny girls attractive? Sure, if they're attractive.
Do I find emaciated girls attractive? Probably not, even if they are naturally attractive.

Thin != attractive

A fit, lean body is attractive but that doesn't mean size 0, it means properly proportioned and nicely toned. That can be attained by women that are size 6 or size 14.

Well I like fairly skinny guys but tbh keira knightly is too thin for me - she was the one in love actually wasnt she? I recoiled when I saw how skinny she was... and I dont tend to like fat at all. If someone is naturally kinda skinny then it's ok, otherwise not. Lindsay lohan used to look good, the last picture I saw of her was horrible though...

i think the exception for kiera is because she doesn't get negitive press for other reasons, posh being a bad singer, paris sleeping around, kate moss doing drugs. maybe women just like bitching about the thinner women and the thin celebs get bashed for it, eg. posh probably gets picked on by the press more than she deserves.

i don't think it's a cleavage thing, while there nothing wrong with bigger boobs, i think alot guys would prefer something natural than an obvious boob job, that other girls say having small boobs makes a girl look like a boy, is evidence that women judge other women negitively as much or maybe more so than men do.

that anorexia etc get bad press is good because it's a big problem, but that naturally thin girls get unfairly bashed or picked on as a result is pretty bad.
