Went to see this on Friday and absolutely adored it. Without a doubt the most impressive film Ive seen in possibly years, but certainly months. There is so much to reccomend in it - its hilarious, surreal, moving, original, visually stunning and any other positive adjective you wish to hurl in there.
    Cannot recommend it enough.

Read about this last year when it was released (i think in France), even went as far as trying to buy it online. Can't wait for some free time to go see it... sounds lovely.

Watched this tonight for the first time. Wow.

Michel Gondry is a genius, by far the most talented man in the industry today. Some of the scenes in this film were mind-blowing.

I saw this a while back in the cinema and loved it; the various dream sequences and particularly the way in which they're realised are fantastic. A perfect example of how decent special effects without over-the-top CGI can make a film better.

Always good to see people digging the Gondry man :) The man really is a genius, and if there was any justice in the world, he would be widely recognised for the unique and original film-maker that he is.

Yeah the effects were extremely likable, especially in todays CGI dominated environment. Nice to see a back to basics approach. Will be interesting to see how he uses his 'home-made' effects in Be Kind Rewind.

Yeah I'm looking forward to Be Kind Rewind, although I'm not a fan of Jack Black at all. Seems like a good idea for a Gondry movie, I'm sure there will be tonnes of references to other movies given the main plot, and plenty of room for Gondry to have fun and express himself, which he does best.

Heres a thread from a couple of years back on him.

If you haven't seen it, check out Dave Chapelles Block Party. Considering I am not a fan of the musicians involved, I was quite impressed that I enjoyed it so much. Damn Gondry magic.

Human Nature is also an interesting one, although far more uneven then his other films. Still, probably the most out right bizarre Charlie Kaufman script coupled with some decent debut directorial work by Gondry.

Be Kind Rewind could go both ways, but I hold faith that it will remain quirky and original despite slightly more commercial concerns.
