I'm not a big fan of iTunes at all.
What are the alternatives on the Mac?

    Are there any decent ones?

You could try Songbird from http://www.songbirdnest.com/
I've used it a couple of times, it works pretty well. Then again, I don't have many problems with iTunes either.

have to say songbird looks nice, thanks for link.
I used it when it first came out, but that was on my windows pc.

i think it's a lot easier to get around in and it's easier to organise your music in sbird rather than iTunes
