Just wondering if anyone has done this trip? AFAIK there is no direct train. I'm thinking of visiting a friend in Toulouse on holidays and then travelling by train to Barca for a Leonard Cohen gig. IS it a pleasant journey? Is there an overnight option? Thanks,

There is no direct train, however travel from Toulouse to Narbonne and change for Barcelona. It will take about five hours.

The journey is painless and you will see some fabulous scenery on the way.

    Hope this helps.

Train is fine I did it about a month ago, you only need to change once, the reason that you change is that the gauges are different between France and Spain. You can buy your ticket for the whole way from France on the internet on SNCF website and pick it up there. Quite comfy and stress free journey.

There is also a bus which may be quicker but the times didnt suit me http://gotobarcelona.blog4ever.com/blog/index-14763.html
