Terrestrial and MMDS on same cable run

    Hi,

I have Chorus MMDS. Digital in one room and basic analogue box in another. The basic one doesn't have RTE on it.
The power for the MMDS aerial is coming from the digital box. There's a splitter on the cable from the aerial in the attic.
I have a VHF aerial for the RTEs.

Can I join the output from the VHF aerial to the feed going to the analogue box? (without destroying the house or causing electrical devices to explode)
Could I use one of these to do the job?http://www.buy4now.ie/atlantic/productdetail.aspx?pid=194757&loc=P&catid=10.15.31904

If I can, will I need a splitter before it goes into the box?
Could I use one of these to do the job?http://www.buy4now.ie/atlantic/productdetail.aspx?pid=194757&loc=P&catid=10.15.31904

Any help and advice is appreciated.

    Thanks.

You could get a lot of interference, unless you had UHF only Aerial/TV added in.

    Those are not great quality.

Combine Aerial and signal AFTER the box. Your TV aerial could short out the power supply to the MMDS

I did something similar, combined Band II + Band IV/V + MMDS onto one downlead. I was able to move the PSU for the MMDS aerial to the attic.

Had to make a special DC blocking triplexer, but maybe a triple input distribution amp might have done the job.

I really can't say if those link boxes will do the job, I think you may need the services of someone who does aerial installation/TV distribution for a living.

The splitter from the MMDS in the attic, specifies which side has the DC on it (which is coming from the digital box).
What I was thinking of doing was joining the line going to the analogue box with the line from the VHF, then putting in a splitter before it gets to the analogue box - as that box has an RF in as well - this might avoid the possible interference watty mentioned.
