I missed a call today from a company that I applied to. Thing is the competition for the position was pretty strong. Just ring them on Monday and say some crap like:

"Sorry I missed your call but I didn't have my phone with me", or something to that effect. It has happened to me loads of times and it didn't have an effect on my job prospects with the company.
