    I love this story
Ruby to join McCoy in Saturday helicopter dash

RUBY WALSH will join Tony McCoy in emulating Treasure Hunt star Anneka Rice's helicopter antics on Saturday after Paul Nicholls encouraged his number one rider to hitch a lift on the champion jockey's chopper for a frantic dash from Ascot to Wincanton.

In a move that should ensurehe can take part in feature races at the two tracks, Walsh will make a quick exit from Ascot before joining McCoy in the helicopter belonging to JP McManus.

Both men will leave the Berkshire venue immediately after riding in the Grade 1 Ascot Chase, for which seven horses were declared on Thursday, headed by Totesport's 5-4 favourite Monet's Garden.

While McCoy has only 70 minutes to complete the journey, Walsh has the luxury of an extra 30 minutes between his ride on Thisthandtother in the Ascot Chase at 2.20 and his 4.00 Wincanton ride on either My Will or Napolitain.

Nicholls, whose Cerium on Thursday joined Thisthatandtother among the seven declarations for the Commercial First-sponsored Ascot Chase, said: "I saw the Racing Post story and said to Ruby that he should see if he could get a lift with AP - Harry Findlay gave AP a lift with us to Newcastle earlier in the season, so it's AP's turn to repay the favour now!

"Ruby rang JP and everyone has been very helpful, so he's going by helicopter too, although he has more time to get there than AP."
