FAI censorship

Cant post the article but have a read here

An article published on a derry city fan site, the FAI contacted the website and asked them to remove it. The post was then moved to another website.

There is nothing wrong in that article its spot on in all areas, the FAI are proving almost on a weekly basis they have not got a clue about football either at home or internationally. Last season Scully was fined 5 grand for answering a question on tv3, there were others in the FAIs blanket of censorship but this is going a bit too far.

Funny you should say that. The UCD fanzine has to be sold outside Belfield Park now because we published this picture on our front page a few issues ago.

    Old news.

The FAI issues a press release ages ago about comments made by any club employees or officials in any media or about any comments made in official club media or that could be deemed to be (i.e. UCD fanzine on sale in ground gives impression that's it a club endorsed magazine).

The Shels fanzine Red Inc. has always been on sale outside Tolka Park and the programme inside so Shels never get any hassle from the FAI and the fans can have their say without the club interferring.

    Everyone's a winner. Except Delaney! :D

Why dont' the clubs just breakaway from teh FAI and set up their own league. See how fast the fai would spin back in that instance.

That would mean none of the clubs would be allowed in European competition and they would probably lose whatever grants they get/are getting from the FAI/government .
