Has anyone seen or heard anything about this? I was watching the telly tonight and a trailer for it came up. It looks pretty cool.

It has Jim Carey as a guy who finds a book that seems to detail his life. Now, where I was expecting this to turn into a comedy a là Stranger Than Fiction, it turns a little nasty. The book tells of a murder that Carey will commit in the future. Then, as is the style of thriller trailers, we see lots of flashing sequences, rushing music and some bizarre things.

Just what took me was that this does look really good. I checked IMDB and it's getting glowing reviews, but I've not heard of it before and it's being released next week or so (I can't remember now).

I only saw part of a trailer, when the narrator was solving some elaborate equation that all boiled down to 6.066 or something to that effect, at first I thought it was taking the piss. Must watch a full trailer.

Looks very good! Something like the mothman prophicies (sp?) perhaps?

Love to see Carrey in serious roles!
He will brilliant in Man on the Moon and Truman Show.

Dunno what to make of it. I like Carrey playing the straight roles. Joel Schumacher has had his moments, be they rare. But there's something about the trailer that doesn't quite jell. It's one of those 'I'll reserve judgement til I see it' movies.

I'll watch anything with Carrey - especially him dramatic roles which have just seen him get more and more impressive.

But the trailer for this, which i saw a few months back, bored me to tears!

Until I saw this post I'd never even heard of the movie but the trailer looks good so I'd like to see it.

The first ad I saw of it related the numbers 2 and 3 to 9/11 which really turned me off the movie. But then the other ads made it look better. They need to ditch that 9/11 approach.

anything that gives a nod to numerology gets a thumbs down from me... I'll wait and see it in a few years when I've enough reviews to sift through and see if I should overcome my hatred of said activity enough to sit through it.
