Extension on the boundary & withdrawing planning application

    Hi All,
This is a 2 part question, I hope some of you will be able to help me.

I live in an end of terrace house and am planning an extension and wanted to build to the boundary of the house that we are attached to. Is this normal or do most people leave a gap? Will our neighbour be able to build an extension easily if we are built right to the boundary of their extension?

My 2nd question - is there a problem in withdrawing a planning application. We already sent in the planning but now after speaking to our neighbours we are contemplating coming in from the boundary?

It is preferrable to have both parties happy with the extension.

I appreciate any advice you can give me.

Better to keep the neighbours happy. You can withdraw the application easily enough. Either yourself or your agent will have to put it in writing to the planning authority.

I think one part of your question was dealt with here and the other part was answered by smashey.

I will lock this as it is just a repeat of what was posted before and yellow card to the OP
