Ipod software downloads

    Hi
    Just wondered if anyone knows of free software downloads so i can transfer some of my dvds onto my ipod?
    Most of the sites i found only offer a sample,ie only let me download 5 mins of dvd at a time which is a lot of work when the dvd lasts 2 hours
    Any help greatly appreciated

    Have a hunt for something called "Iriverter" its for the I river series but it works on the mp4 video codec the ipod uses.

    Back up your dvd on to your hard drive and then use Videora

    Im very new to the whole computer thing and don't know much about how to do things..so how do i back up my dvds onto my computer?

    I've used this to convert DVDs to DivX but it works for Ipod videos too (haven't checked this out myself. It's very simple to use - just pop in your DVDs and after a couple of clicks it'll start converting. It's not free but at least they have a trial version.
