I recently bought a Mc Book Pro, and I am now looking to network it to my XP PC via a netopia 3347. The XP machince will be connected via ethernet and the Mac will be using a wireless connection to the netopia wireless modem.
I am wondeering if this is possible. If so does anyone have any pointers on the best approach to take.

    Thanks in advance

do you know if the netopia gives the ip addresses via dhcp or do you have to assign them statically?

if it assigns the ip addresses via dhcp then you just need to set the mac to obtain the ip address automatically in the network preferences of the system preferences.
I think it should be the same for xp except u set it in the network connections in the control panel.

saying this i have never used airport! or 10.4 so best of luck!

Mac sure that you have windows file sharing turned on in the preferences.

These should also be of some use to you

Also I have found that you need to turn on the guest account to get mac users to login to your pc.
