Can someone identify the marks on the top left corner of these photos ??

They appear in all my photos, i was thinking it could be a mark on the lens,
but i cleaned the lens , and its still there (maybe slightly improved)

could it be a smudge in the lens ?

Looks like dust on your sensor, rather than the lens. Is it a DSLR? I'm not sure if you can get the sensor cleaned on compacts :(

no its not an SLR , its a canon powershot A 95,

ok so cleaning the lens won't help,
maybe i can bring it to a camera shop ??

if not its no big deal its easy to crop the pics or photoshop it
out , if it were in the center of the pic it would be a different matter
but up in the corner its no problem

I have since been told that it could be lens burn ??

Caused by pointing the lens at the sun too much ??

is this possible ? sounds a bit iffy !,
can anyone confirm or deny ?

    Thanks

sounds a bit iffy alright.. when you get things like that on dslrs, it's normally dust or a small hair sitting on the sensor. Maybe something got in around the zoom lens. I wouldnt have thought that was very likely but assuming the front element of the lens is spotless, I'd say your best bet is to bring it in to have it looked at.

In your two sample pictures the smudge is in two slightly different positions with different focus, so it is almost definitely an object between the rear of the lens and the sensor - telephoto will move the dust images inwards and focus, wideangle will move them out and defocus.

You can get a better picture of it by setting the lens to maximum focal length, focus to the closest possible distance and taking an overexposed shot of something bright (e.g. white paper). You need to overexpose the paper to correctly expose the dirt. You might need to place something centre-shot to get the autofocus to lock.

Check your earliest pictures to see if it has always been there.

no they werent in my earlier pictures ?
How can i remove this ?? or is it possible to remove ?
Surely I can take it into a camera shop somewhere and they can do something with it for me ??
