    WiMax is not a magic answer to Offline Ireland. Any Decent Wireless technolgy can get past the DSL limits:

    So don't be distracted by WiMax hype either. It's only a tool in the larger toolkit used to implement the solutions to making Ireland Online.

    More about the risks of hyping IPTV and VOD and why we need to concentrate on Broadband for all, but keep our aerials, dishes and cable for TV.

    Hyping VOD, Joost, watch when you want TV etc hurts broadband. Also TV broadcasters need to syncronise showing of popular US release shows worldwide to reduce video Download demand.

    Austrialian BB is suffering due US shows up to 9 months behind fuelling download demand.
