I'm thinking of buying a G25 wheel with GTR2 or rFactor to have some fun online, but I'm not sure if there are many people online?

Anyone who already plays those games online, are there lots of people/servers to play against to be worth playing online?

I play GTR2 quite a lot, there's usually plenty of servers to choose from. Oh, the G25 is fab with GTR2 :D

With rFactor you get a lot of people online but there are so many different mods and different versions of mods it becomes a pain in the ass if you wann race. thats why i stoppped playing rFactor.
GTR/GTR2/GTL/RACE all have low numbers of online racers.
I would go for LFS. It gets about 800-900 racers nearly every night and at weekend can even go up to 1200-1500! Which afaik no other sim gets those kind of numbers (at least the last time i checked, correct me if i'm wrong). The reason it is my sim of choice is because it is MADE for online racing. It's so easy to get online and race with VERY little effort and the pings are always low. There is very little lag compared to the other games too.
Click the link in my sig for more info! LFS is cheaper than the rest too! :p £24 for S2 and the DEMO is free with online multiplayer.
I run an Irish server on S2 called "Racing for Ireland" feel free to drop in!

Thanks for the input guys, well I guess I'll get them all, including ToCa 3, which looks pretty cool judging by videos I've seen on YouTube.

I agree on LFS if your after an online racer,it is designed for online play and its a great sim.
However if you want good AI to run full seasons and championships with go with rFactor and all its class mods,GTR2,GTL and GPL.

Dont get Toca 3,it sucks with a capital C,unless ofcourse you want an arcade racing game.
