Anyone think that the Rugby sorta didnt fit in at Croker? Just didnt look right on TV with the acres of extra grass around the pitch. I wasn't feeling it. Anyone who was there care to comment? Soccer's gonna look even sillier!

Phenominal atmosphere in the stadium yesterday, but watching it on TV now (thanks to Sky+) you get a real sense of just how small the rugby pitch is and how far away the crowd is from the action. I would hate to have been any further back than I was (about 26 rows back in the Hogan stand), so can only imagine if you were in the top levels you were cheering on the green specks!

Reminiscent of watching games played on the ovals in Oz.

Nowhere near those proportions. Even worse was Stadium Australia before the Olympics. 107,000 at the Bledisloe game I was at. Needed good seats though. The view from pitchside, top row was miles away. Croke Park was nothing near that.
Croke park was just fine. What was especially impressive was access into and out of the ground. Perfick.
