yeah ive been to a good few, most of it is just drinking and banter but some of them can be interesting enough. the jockeys/trainers talk up their rides/runners and tell you if they have a chance or not etc etc. try and go to one with somebody decent like Francombe or Willoughby where you might actually hear something of use.

Mystery solved would seem to be two Cheltenham preview nights in The Stillorgan Park.
One on the Thursday 1st March Organised by the Wexford GAA Supporters Club and one on Sunday 4th March held by Kilmacud Crokes. Both 8pm starts (Sunday one outlined in the Irish Field) but without full details.

    explains my confusion

Ya I have gone to a few of these previews...they are good craic and especially if Tony Mullins is one of the guests.Went to a few in Galway, in the radisson hotel over the years...Got some useful info about faasel one year from Barney Curley so backed him for Chelt and he just got beaten by Penzance. Also Philip Hobbs tipped Parsons legacy to win and he nearly did under Derek O' Connor but was impeded at the last.Well worth goin to folks if ya get a chance...the info can be good. The preview in Limerick sounds very good.Went to one in the submarine Bar last year but didn't get a whole lot of info prob cause Thomo from Channell 4 racing was the MC for the night. Thanks for the info qzy

There was a Betfair preview that they streamed live last year which was pretty decent, Tom Segal was on of the panellists. Not sure if they'll be doing another one this year or not.

They can be good, but they can be crap.
Expect to hear comments like 'Aran Concerto has a really good chance of winning in the ...' Really? I couldn't have worked that out for myself at all!
The one in Limerick with Alan King looks the best. Id imagine however we actually will know in which race My Way De Solzen is running by then though.
The one in Galway is organised by Mulhollands bookmakers, and Barney is an interesting character.

That was pretty good actually. They interviewed a few trainers on it as well. John Francombe was on it IIRC. People were able to email in questions too which was nice. Some people slated Pricewise for his influence on the market. I got a giggle out of that.

i may go to one this year but it is very handy that you can download the recordings of these now off many racing websites. saves alot of effort...

Just to clarify the above posts - there was originally 2 Preview Nights scheduled for Stillorgan Park hotel but we (Wexford Supporters Club) have moved ours out to the Goat Grill in Goatstown. The night is still the same (1st March) and the panel will still be the same. We have 1 or 2 extra names to be confirmed later on in the week to add to the panel.

Admission is FREE to all which includes a free €50 bet.

    Free....with a €50 bet? What's the catch?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 295 ✭✭mccarte2

no catch at all! come along on the night to find out :) as far as i know its going to be the only free preview night in dublin and possibly ireland - am open to correction on this though too!

No tickets needed, just show up on the night. Everyone present on the night can avail of a free €50 bet (or €50 worth of bets) from Celtic Bookmakers if they open a phone betting account with them on the night.

Calling all punters, if you’re planning to beat the bookies at this years Cheltenham racing festival then don’t miss the Cheltenham Festival 2007 preview night in the Charlie Chawke owned The Goat Pub on Thursday 1st of March at 8pm.

This will be Dublin’s only free of charge Cheltenham preview night. So come along and hear a panel of experts preview the main contenders, review the form and highlight the value bets, helping to make this year’s festival a profitable one!

The prestigious panel of experts will be chaired by Brian Geraghty and will include the highly successful trainers Paul Nolan, Colm Murphy (trainer of festival favourite Brave Inca) and Damien McIlroy, chief racing correspondent of the Irish Independent, Brian Flanagan of the Star Newspaper and Tony Mullins. While also in attendance to give an insight into the English contenders is the controversial, but always popular jockey, Graham Bradley.

The night is being organised by the Dublin Branch of the Wexford GAA Supporters’ Club in association with Celtic Bookmakers and The Goat, ‘Dublin’s Sporting Pub’.

Admission is free with free food and free bets plus a bumper raffle and all are welcome on the night.

At the launch of the preview night Moses Morrissey, Chairman of the Wexford
GAA supporters club in Dublin, said:

‘…our panel is truly top class, and will I am sure give punters the inside track for this year’s festival. We are particularly delighted with the strong Wexford representation, proof that Wexford is a leading light in racing both at home and abroad.’

Also at the launch was Wexfordman and Celtic Bookmakers MD, Ivan Yates. He is delighted to be involved with the event, saying:

‘I’m delighted that Celtic Bookmakers are associated with this venture, we now have over 20 shops in Dublin and as a Wexford based company it was a perfect link up for us.’

The night promises to be an enjoyable and hopefully a profitable one and is really an unmissable part of the build-up to the most-anticipated racing event of the year.

I'm just back from one. Didn't learn too much to be honest.

Pat Keane says that Amaretto Rose is his banker....Noel O Brien warned of the Sweet Wake effect with AR but generally they were all keen on that one.

In the Champion Hurdle Noel O Brien, Eoin Griffin and a bookie went for Hardy. Mike Cattermole, John Francome and Davey Russell went for Detroit City.

    Other titbits---

Davey Russell says that Caill Alainn hasnt a hope of beating Denman. He thinks Exotic Dancer is just a handicapper. (Nobody agreed with him and two actually tipped him for the Gold Cup).

John Francombe thinks that Beef or SAlmon will have his conditions this March and has to be backed.

Many thought Lounaos was a banker. Eoin Griffin himself didn't want to say so but you could see he was very hopeful.

Horses to look out for -

Bearings Express - Bumper (Mike Dillon)
Whyso Mayo - Hunters - Eoin Griffin
Star PErformance - Cross Country (Davey Russell)
Well Chief - CC - (John Francome)
After Midnight - Coral - (Noel O Brien)

Idole First, Wonderkid, Phar Bleu, New Alco and Mil de Burlais were also tipped.

    a very enjoyable night i thought f2b.

Francome was hilarious and it was pretty interesting apart from Noel O'Brien who was very disappointing. i was surprised at the amount of support for AR in the Supreme Novices, they nearly have me convinced to back her, lol.

Saw that guy Noel O'Brien at the PP preview night in the sub some years ago, dry as ****e and his arse must be sore from that fence he sits on :p The guy couldnt tip a winner if he had to!

Preview Night – The Big Tree, Drumcondra Thursday 1 March in aid of the Irish Cancer Society

Panel: Tony O’hehir(TOH), Nina Carberry(NC), Slippers Madden(SM), Paddy Flood(PF), Tony Mullins(TM), Ciaran Moynihan(CM) compere, Graham Ross (GR) from Betfair

A late start meant that the night was all a bit little rushed and that only the championship races were discussed.

    Supreme Novice:
TM – The Irish have no chance in this, a very ordinary bunch. De Soto was an EW bet
TOH - Nicky Henderson really likes Amaretto Rose, and she gets a handy allowance – Hide the Evidence was the best of the Irish
PF – Clopf is definitely better than his last run, where he felt a bit flat at the start
SM – Clopf is the best of the irish, DeValira is a bridle horse and he didn’t fancy him. Aran Concerto goes for the 2m5.

    Ballymore Properties novice Hurdle;
PF – Catch Me is very good, and we haven’t seen the best of him yet. He can turn the form around with Aran Concerto. He has serious gears.
    NC – I’ll have Aran Concerto, I don’t think he’ll get beat
TOH – We all know what Noel Meade has said about Aran Concerto, but he met Eddie O’Grady in Manchester Airport a while ago where he said Catch Me was the best horse he has had for a very long time. Silverburn is the best of the English. Still thinks Aran Concerto will win it though.
TM – Aran Concerto is the real deal
GR – If I had a free bet for Cheltenham it would be on Aran Concerto

    Brit Insurance Novice Hurdle:
TM – Wichita Lineman is a good thing, and never mind all this talk of McCoy being hard on a horse – he is only hard on those that need it!urdle:

    Triumph Hurdle:
TM – Lounaos had a hard race in the Irish Champion, and Johnjo’s might be good enough if he runs. Jy Vole is very good if she returned to form
SM – This race is in the bag for Lounaos, Katchit is the only one that could take him on
TOH – Lounaos one of the better Irish chances this year, Punjabi a possible danger
NC – Lounaos an obvious chance.

    SunAlliance Chase:

PF – Cant see Denman beaten – the Irish won’t get near him
NC – Denman is Ruby’s NAP for the week, and that is good enough for her
TM – Fancies Cailin Alainn to run a big race
TOH – Cailin Alainn is a bit light, but a mare with a lot of ability

    Arkle:
GR – All the betting suggests Fair Along is the one to be on
SM – AP was not happy with the ride he gave Don’t Push It last time, thinks he will win this. Gemini Lucy is the best of the Irish and a sound EW bet.
TOH – Gemini Lucy has some sort of chance, but would need better ground than it is right now
TM – Was speaking to Ivan Yates (Celtic Bookmakers) at a previous preview night, and they will be taking on Fair Along big time

    Ryanair Chase:
SM – Monets Garden is the class act – he jumps, he gallops, the banker of the meeting
TM – Monets Garden the second bet of the meeting after Well Chief, only My Way De Solzen is a danger. Kill Devil hill a great EW bet in this
TOH – Its all grey to me!
    Stayers Hurdle:
SM – Black Jack Ketchum is the class act if he is in any form at all. Thinks Celestial Wave is a fair animal.
PF – BJK has only ever beaten Powerstation, and is very beatable
NC – The more rain the better for Celestial Wave, but she does not jump well when taken on.
TOH – If Asian Maze ran she would have a great chance
TM – Surprised if BJK runs. Inglis Drever winning would be the old man reclaiming his crown. Blazing Bailey has a bit of a chance. If it dried up a bit Asian Maze could win!

    Queen Mother:
TM – Well Chief the certainty of the meeting, all he has to do is turn up! When TOH asked him if he was afraid of the bounce factor, TM said that he had never heard of the bounce factor with a Pipe horse!
SM – Nickname will take some beating if it was soft, Voy Por Ustedes is not good enough. Newmill really needs the ground a bit faster.

    Champion Hurdle:
SM – Interested in Newmill, who he reckons almost ran in the Champion Hurdle last year and, in his opinion, jumps hurdles better than fences. Still a race for an Irish 1-2-3, and whatever beats Hardy Eustace up the hill will win the champion.
PF – Cant see Brave Inca and Macs Joy make up the difference with Hardy Eustace
NC – In the Hardy camp as well
TM – Charlie Swan on Brave Inca is the greatest load of bull I have ever heard. Jimmy Keaveney won’t play for Dublin again either! Detroit City will win anyway.
GR – I have backed Hardy Eustace at 10s and I’m not laying off
TOH – the stats are against Hardy Eustace. Backed Macs Joy after the AIG but not sure what to make of the Gowran Park run. Detroit City a serious horse but would slightly favour Hardy Eustace this year.

    Bumper:
SM – Great vibes from Harringtons about Cork All Star. Aranleigh is only moderate – thinks Jessie has the horse
NC – Cork All Star has the best form but thinks it would want better ground. Also thinks Mad Fish would need better ground. Was very impressed with the way Fiveforthree travelled and quickened last time.
TM – Aranleigh is a good horse, and will beat Mad Fish again when they meet. Cork All Star will calve up the hill, and is more afraid of Fiveforthree. Crocodiles Rock was agricultural enough last time. If I can beat Fiveforthree I am happy enough I can win it. Mad Fish gurgled when we passed him last time – might be a problem there. The workout on Sunday will be very important in deciding who runs at Cheltenham
PF – Very impressed with Fiveforthree last time
TOH – Don’t forget Stradbrook, could have a say in this

    Gold Cup:
Sm – War Of Attrition is a proper horse, but mouse Morris is very worried about the ground for him.
PF – Kauto Star wins. War Of Attrition does not jump well in bad ground. You wouldn’t think McCoy would suit Exotic Dancer, but he does. Has an EW chance.
NC – L’Ami a great price compared to Kauto Star
TOH – Kauto Star has too many questions about him at the price. Hard to fancy War Of Attrition on the ground. Beef Or Salmon has a terrible record at Cheltenham. L’Ami the value bet.
TM – All about the ground for War Of Attrition. Exotic Dancer is only a handicapper and can’t improve enough. Kauto Star can’t jump. Cane Break might be the surprise element here.
GR – Kauto Star at Evens on the place market a great bet.

    Other Bits:
PF – New Field has a big chance if he runs
TOH – Kings Advocate well fancied, as is All Star
TM – Pedrobob in the County will win if the weights are held as they are now.

    Bankers:
SM – Sweet Wake and hardy Eustace. Lay DC in the Champion Hurdle.
PF – Catch Me, reckons SM was afraid to tip Aran Concerto!
    GR – Lay Detroit City
TOH – Monets Garden is a good thing, L’Ami EW in the Gold Cup
TM – Well Chief and Monets Garden are both certainties
NC – Don’t Push It in the Arkle.

I am going Monday night to the one in the Royal Hotel Roscommon where Davy Russell, David Elsworth (Desert Orchid), Tony Martin, Dessie Hughes and Noel Obrien will be there. I will report back on Tuesday lads and lassies let ye know if anything interesting was stated. Although these night can be fun i cant see anything enlightening being shared.
    Cheers

    In Roscommon last night,
Panel: Dessie Hughes (trainer of Hardy Eustace), Tony Martin (trainer), Noel Obrien 9senior Handicapper), Ross Geraghty (jockey), John Kennelly (Bruce Bookmakers rep). Don McLean (Irish Times) Mc

Well it was an enjoyable night ans some money was raised for charity which was brilliant. But if one follows there racing closely a lot was not learned but i will report as best i can for readers.
Dessie Hughes was a good panelist and the crowd listened closely when he spoke. He said that Hardy wasnt in good form at all last year he wasnt right in himself but gave a reasonable account of himself. He feels that he is in great form this year and that he has the measure of all his challengers this year. He wasnt blowing steam or being cocky. It was clear he didnt want to go aon about Hardy too much but stated that he was giving Detroit City 4lbs the last time they met and that it wasnt one of Conor O`Dwyers better rides. He feels that if rode differently that day he may have beaten Detroit City.
The remainder of the panel were okay Tony Martin had the crowd in laughter a few times because Noel Obrien was sitting beside him joking about handicap races. Ill go through individual races with a brief description opf panel opinion.

    Supreme Novices Hurdle:

D Hughes: He really likes Clopf and expects him to go very close in this one and feels he is the best of the Irish horses.

Noel OBRIEN: Sat on the fence and just said that Amerreto Rose hasnt beaten a lot and felt that Davilara was unlucky in his last run.

    Arkle:

Ross Geraghty: Blueberry Boy is the only Irish horse with a cjance of getting placed in the conditions. It is between the three market leaders Fair Along, My Way De Solzen, and Dont Push It.

Tony Martin: He feels strongly that My Way De Solzen will win this one with Dont Push it the danger. He doesnt think Fair Along is value.

Noel ob: Is very impressed with My Way De Solzen and feels that the ground will suit him very much over that distance.

    Champion Hurdle:

Dessie Hughes: stated in beginning of report above.

Ross Geraghty: He feels it is between Hardy and Detroit and Sublimity for a place. He doesnt think Brave Inca will be a winner of thid race this year.

J Kennelly: Pretty much same as ross geraghty.

Tony Martin: Detroit will not be getting weight off Hardy this time and it matters going up the Cheltenham hill. He feels that Hardy will be the victor this time.

Noel Ob: He feels that Detroit should not be favourite but is the best 5 yr old since See you Then. Didnt give a winner in his opinion.

    Ballymore Properties Hurdle:

Ross Geraghty: "Aran Concerto is the classiest horse in the race. Everything about him is class and he is bred for the mud. Nobody will get close to him at Cheltenham". Interesting when you think that Barry is riding Catch Me.

Dessie Hughes: Feels that Aran Concerto will not be beaten.

Tony Martin: The price of Aran Concerto is no value at all and Noel Meade has no luck in the race but this animal should win with Silverburn in the money.

Noel OB: AC is no value at all feels that Catch me and Silverburn will be in the money.

J Kennelly: Catch me is the only value ion the race and will get up the hill also says that theres money for Scotsirish.

    Remainder of report later today.

    Cheers.

Hopefully the Star will do the DVD preview this Saturday or Sunday. Last year's one was quite good, as was the previous year's one.

I was going through my DVDs yesterday and found both of these, along with last year's Punchestown preview. It brought back some memories! Starting to get really excited about the festival now. Is there any other previews worth watching wb? I've only ever watched the ones with The Star. I remember the Betfair preview last year with Tom Segal and a few others. I don't think they're doing that this year though, or have I missed it?

I'm not sure really. I missed that one too last year.

Got this from a mate who went to one the other night
Last night I was at a preview in a local pub.

The panel from left to right was some gimp from Boyle's who was shocking, Paul Nicholls (PN) who was top class, Ruby (RW) who was a little well on and held back on nothing, Jim Culloty (JC) who tore shreds off everything, Davy Russell (DR) who is very knowledgeable and into his stats and knows them inside out, finally some gimp from the racing channel or SIS or something who was a good compare, kept the boys at it all night.

First thing of note was that PN revealed that Silverburn (most likely) is going to pull out of the Novices Hurdle on Weds in favour of the Supreme Novices hurdle on Tuesday to have a cut off Amaretto Rose. If that happens RW agreed it would have a great chance with the track being untouched for the first race. The owner's of De Valira were in attendance and dismissed all other chances, unsurprisingly. Kicks for free, an outsider will prob go to Aintee said PN. JC and DR were for Amaretto Rose.

For the Arkle DR and JC were in the Fair along camp, but JC also likes My way de solzen, RW and PN were very strongly in favour of My way de S as well, but not to rule out Don't push it. JC mentioned Jack the giant as e/w value, PN likes Twist magic as e/w value. They all dismissed Geminin Lucy.

Champion Hurdle was generally considered a 3 horse race, with RW going Detroit City, Hardy, Brave as his top three, DR agreed as long as the ground was heavy. JC went with Sublimity for a bit of value and PN can't see past Straw Bear for some reason, mainly value I think.

NAP's of day one were split between Fair along and Detriot City, with PN kind of going for Silverburn as a nap if it goes in the Supreme.

Day 2 and the boy's left all their shyness behind and began to tear strips off each other. Aran Concerto they all agreed was a good thing, but the "fckuers at Boyle's and co" (RW) have him at 2-1 which is a shocking price and represents no value. Nothing else of note in this one, except JC mentioned My Turn Now as an ew offering, RW called him a tool if he wants people to waste their money on that "effing donkey".

Royal and Sun alliance, Denman, Denman, Denman, Denman. PN chimed in with Turko as an e/w or without favourite bet. Nothing more to say, RW's best ride of the week he reckons as is widely publicised. I'd say he's saying that to deflect attention off Kuato Star though cos the way he spoke about him later on led me to the bookies this morning with only one thing on my mind, lump on Kuato, but that's for later on.

Queen Mother champion chase saw lot of banter. RW is on nickname, but wants to ride Well chief, can't see it beaten, wonder is that psychology or truth, I'd venture he's being honest about it.JC and RW love well chief, DR likes the chances of Newmill. No outside chances mentioned in this one, PN made no comment.

Bumper Raven's run and Whatuthink are JC's outside fancies. RW likes Mad Fish and Aranleigh, prefers Aranleigh as does Willie Mullins. Bearings express and Den of iniquity for DR. PN said no point in an English trainer getting involved in this discussion, Irish winner again.

My writing was now getting very messy as we were buying two pints at a time since 8 o clock to save queuing. Happy days.

NAP of day 2 from the panel was a unanimous Denman, with PN throwing in Turko as a bit of value.

Day 3, Ryanair chase, Taranis for the PN/Rw combo. Hi cloy for DR. JC can't see past Monet's garden if My way de solzen goes in the arkle.

World hurdle depends on what Black Jack will do, DR said his banker of the week is that he won't run. Even if he does, RW and DR said it won't suit him. Blazing bailey for RW is a great bet, JC went for Inglis Drever, but likes Celestial wave a lot, at which point RW told him he knew fcuk all if he was suggesting Celestial would win, only if he starts running now was the quote. Asian maze was laughed at by RW also.

Unsurprisingly that's all they discussed on a poor third day, NAPs for that day for PN was Gungadu in the NH chase, RW Kadoun in the Pertemps, DR napped Star Performance (which is running Tuesday, the fool got slated for that, he was on the water as well!!), then he said Monet's Garden. Inglis Drever for JC and the Boyle's man.

Last day's racing, in the Brit Novices hurdle the SIS guy informed us that Witchita is AP's nap for the festival having spoke to him today. JC agreed it was the winner in this one. Labelthou was PN's fancy along with DR. Kazal for RW and Black Harry as an ew bet. PN also mentioned Ornais as an ew chance. If Arise sir Clive runs in this DR would back it as well, ew. Rw asked was he blind at this point and laughed off the last suggestion. It got quite saucy then, both of them tearing strips off Hairy Molly and Sir Jimmy Shand, well RW did anyhow.

Triumph hurldle is wide open, DR, RW and JC would all like to ride Lounaos. PN tipped Katchit, dissed Punjabi, RW dissed Mountain as no hoper. PN said Poquelin is a non runner more than likely. JC fancied Duty ew.

Onto the Gold cup and most people were hammered at this stage, so just as well there was only one horse talked about or we'd all have been in trouble. RW said it's his nap of the week, no one disagreed, however JC did say if this horse doesn't win the trainer and jockey should be shot. RW reacted implying JC had no idea, at which point JC said how was it looking at my arse three times in a row when I came up the hill on Best mate. That shut him up finally. PN can't see where the doubt's about Kauto star are coming from, acknowledging the two slips in the last two races, but he's never fallen and had only 2 bad fences in 20 or so races. Beef or salmon ew was the only other mention in this race.

Nap's for the last day were Kauto star, My Will ew by PN just for value, JC Whyso mayo in the Christies. Saintsaire was DR final day nap.

PN also said keep an eye on New little bric on Thursday in the Jewson as a parting shot.

very good write up -sounds like ruby was getting too big for his boots -good man jim for shutting him up not an easy task -as for nichols -(PN can't see where the doubt's about Kauto star are coming from, acknowledging the two slips in the last two races, but he's never fallen and had only 2 bad fences in 20 or so races)

does he not look at the form of his own horses as if he looks kauto star fell three times 11 oct 03- -31 jan 05 (remounted for 2nd) and the most important one 15 march 06 at cheltenham

Preview night at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth.
Chaired by Tony O’ Hehir. Panel included Tom Taafe, Nina Carberry, Noel O’ Brien, Damien McElroy and Kevin O’ Ryan (ATR). Dessie Hughes and Jim McGrath were absent.

    Supreme Novices:
TT and lad from Irish field gave Wins Now a good e.w. chance as he’s form on soft ground and is an improver.
NC said Orbit O’Gold worked well the other day but is a quirky sort of horse and can be very bad at times.
    Arkle:
TT described My way de solzen as a “special horse” and a great jumper. NOB also fancied him. TOH said Alan King stated he’d run in the Arkle if it was soft.
DM fancied Fair Along if the ground was goodish. KOR also fancied this one.
    Champion Hurdle:
NOB, KOR and DM were all in the Hardy camp. Reckoned he could reverse form with Detroit, and Brave Inca hasn’t beaten much this yr. (Iktitaf & Rosaker). Noone mentioned Macs Joy.
NC - Iktitaf needs good ground but will probably run. Harchibald & Jazz messenger doubtful. Philip thinks Sublimity has a great e.w. chance as he loves heavy ground.
    Ballymore:
    NC – Aran Concerto.
KOR & Irish Field – Catch me.
DM – Silverburn e.w. if runs.
TT – Reckons Aran Concerto should run in supreme as 2m in testing ground at Cheltenham is equivalent of 2 and a half miles and that’s enough for a young horse.
    Queen Mother:
DM & IF – Newmill. Apparently AJ Mac’s NAP of meeting.
Everyone else reckoned Well Chief but worried about the “bounce” factor.
    R&S Chase:
    All Denman.
    Bumper:
DM & NOB – Aranleigh. They say McCoy rides & JP bought after bumper win. Reckon he’d be half the price if trained by Willie Mullins.
NC – Says horses need experience to win, i.e. more than one race. Fancied Whatuthink.
    World Hurdle:
Noone could have Black Jack as they thought it wasn’t just the ground that was the problem the last day.
Only race bar R&S where nearly everyone agreed. DM, NOB, NC & KOR all really fancied Inglis Drever.
    Triumph:
    NOB, NC, IF – Lounaos.
DM thought she was entitled to run that well in AIG with everyone giving her so much weight, KOR agreed. DM went for Degas Art e.w. & KOR went for Duty e.w.
    Gold Cup:
TT – Said Kauto Star only just beat L’Ami (no good) last day, had too much racing this season & was unsure about the trip and the hill. Says his horse Cane Brake (PC rides) has a great e.w. chance as field isn’t great.
DM – Exotic Dancer. Said McCoy thought that if L’Ami couldn’t beat Kauto last day then he never would so choice was easy. Thought Halcon G had chance if ground was a bog. Thinks Beef never got over his Cheltenham fall a few years ago.
KOR – Says Kauto is a good thing.
    NOB – Beef or Salmon.

    Naps:
TOH – Pouvoir in the Fred Winter (Alan King sweet on this). Said Jim McGrath napped MWDS.
    DM – Hardy Eustace.
TT – No NAP, just Cane Brake e.w. and Kings Advocate has a good chance in the Jewson.
KOR – Monets Garden. If in Ryanair.
    NC – Denman.
    IF – Catch me.
    NOB – Lounaos.
