Sky + from Ebay

    If i buy a sky+ box on ebay will sky connect me, I already have a full subscription to sky with just an ordinary box

    Yes in theory they will upgrade you over the phone to Sky+, however note that sky+ requires 2 separate satellite cables from your dish and a multi-output LNB on the dish (to feed more than one cable).

    If you buy a sky+ box and have the appropriate LNB and 2nd cable (or are prepared to install them yourself) then Sky will upgrade you to Sky+ with a phonecall.

    You need to also pay €15 extra a month if you dont have at least 2x premium channels (Sky Sports 1 and 2, Sky Movies 1 and 2 or you take a HD subscription).

    You might need to have the phone connected also for 12 months for a new Sky+

    Keep your eye out and bid on a Sky+ box with the Quad LNB included.

    No need for the phoneline to be connected when you're buying the box without subsidy from Sky.
