350D Viewfinder Display gone?

    Hello,
    I took out my camera (350D) yesterday and went to take a few shots, as I ajusted the shutter speed, I noticed where it normally dispays the info in the viewfinder was blank. The info was still on the outside screen and the photo was fine, but there is nothing being displayed in the viewfinder? Ive reset the settings and changed lenses etc, but its still not appearing, I can see a small bit of light coming from the bottom of the viewfinder, but no info, I think the camera got a knock (5 months travelling) as the red dots for focusing are now slightly to the right of their boxes or focus points in the viewfinder? Its bloody annoying as I need to take my eye away from the viewfinder to adust anything. Im also travelling in Laos (SE. Asia) so popping into a shop isnt really an option, Ill be back in bangkok in a month and then Oz, but id like to get it sorted asap, if anyone knows anything that might fix it (I dont mind having a go with my tiny set of screwdrivers) It seems like the light that "projects" the info into the viewfinder was knocked out if alignment? Its a wild guess but it seems likely?
